Bringing Canadian Authors to Young Readers and Writers

Each year Stratford Writers Festival introduce young readers and writers to Canadian authors. We host school group events in Stratford and bring writers directly to classrooms in both Perth and Huron county. We also partner with the Rotary Club of Stratford to sponsor the annual short story contest for teens.

Rotary Stratford Short Story Contest winners receive plaques and cash prizes.

The school program is one of the most meaningful components of our festival as it encourages the next generation of readers and writers. Please read below for schools that have taken part in our program.
