Stratford Writers Festival enters its fourth season!
Now in its fourth year in 2019, the Stratford Writers Festival will once again present a wide range of Canadian literary talent, including bestselling and award-winning authors as well as emerging writers. This year’s festival will run from October 18–27, opening with a literary performance with a Newfoundland twist by Terri-Lynn Penney from her debut memoir, Because Of You.
As well, in 2019 the festival will present a couple of debut authors along with Terri-Lynn Penney. On Sunday, October 27, Mary Berg, MasterChef Canada winner, star of Mary’s Kitchen Crush, and author of her new book Kitchen Party will shares her insider tips for stress-free cooking during Appetite for Words’ popular Literary Brunch. And that evening, during the popular Songwriters Circle at Revival House, Dayna Manning is also launching her memoir, Many Moons, adding ‘author’ to her long list of accolades! This year the Songwriters Circle will also highlight Manning’s new solo CD, Morning Light, a unique collaboration between Dayna Manning and Ben Bolt-Martin and a series of chamber musicians.
As always there are educational components to our lineup to help both fiction and non-fiction authors develop their craft and market their work. This year features two writing workshops along with a self-publishing workshop:
- Creating Memorable Characters Workshop with Becky Blake
- Book Proposal and Query Letter Workshop with John Goddard
- FREE Author Photo Workshop with Scott Wishart
- FREE Extensive Children’s Book Self-Publishing Workshop with Chrissy Hobbs
We look forward to seeing you this year!
